9 Ways to Get a Jumpstart & Make 2025 Transformational

Some of us like to make vision boards, others write a list of “New Year’s Resolutions”. Regardless of your approach, this is a great time of year to sit down and reflect, to celebrate this year’s wins and to get crystal clear on changes you may want to make in the coming year. As I was reflecting myself, I jotted down 9 ways to get started now rather than waiting until January 1st to implement changes.

1) Curate your social media

Unfollow any pages that distract you, make you feel less than, or just aren’t in alignment with the life you desire. This includes celebs, gossip pages, and people from your hometown you don’t vibe with anymore. Instead, follow self-empowerment pages, wellness accounts, special interests, and growth-focused content. Engage with what inspires you so you see more of it.

2) Reprogram your algorithms

Start searching for positive content on social platforms and Google. Look up topics like self-care practices, morning and nighttime routines, holistic health tips, meditations, mindset shifts, fasting, and anything else that supports your growth. Let the ether know you’re making a shift. Remember, algorithms reflect what you think about, search for, and engage with—so make it good stuff.

3) Block the negativity

From weird energy to plain old drama and negativity - If someone or something consistently makes you feel bad or simply doesn’t sit well with you, unfollow or block them, or set firm boundaries. Period. Boundaries are key to a better life, and this includes digital spaces. If you feel guilty, remember: it’s not about being “nice”—it’s about protecting your peace. Choose YOU.

4) Clean House

Donate or toss items that no longer bring you joy. Deep clean. Take it on one room at a time. Scrub the tub, dust hard to reach places, wipe down door frames and window seals, clean out the fridge, toss expired pantry goods, organize closets, add decor and items that make you feel good, get some houseplants. To be frugal, you can ask friends for plant cuttings to propagate, and thrift used decor items that speak to you (be sure to cleanse before adding to your space). Smudge your home counter-clockwise with sage and clockwise palo santo, light an incense, and rearrange to get stagnant energy moving.

5) Assess Your Habits

Which of your habits are no longer serving your highest good? Cut ‘em out. Decide which positive habits you’d like to implement, and start now.. no need to wait for January. Adopt supportive habits like grounding outside, exercising, journaling, meditating, eating nourishing foods, stretching, and regularly reaching out to connect with loved ones. Focus on mastering one new habit at a time. They’re the foundation for creating the life you want. They’re the structure that supports your highest good even when you “don’t feel like it.” Discipline + consistency = transformation.

6) Create a feel-good playlist

Make a go-to soundtrack filled with uplifting songs or calming frequencies to listen to daily or when you need a little pick-me-up. Skip anything low-frequency (sorry, gotta let the sad R&B songs, shoot-up-the-opps rage rap and tear-in-my-beer country music go while you’re trying to elevate). Music has power—choose sounds that really lift your spirit and put you in a good mood.

7) Write affirmations

Craft 5-10 personal affirmations like “I am worthy of love and abundance” or powerful ASKfirmations like “Why am I so healthy?” “Why am I so peaceful?” and “How do joy and success always find me?” You get the gist. Now record yourself saying them. Play this anytime you need to remember who you are. Bonus points for listening to them daily just before bed and right after you wake up while your brain is still in theta.

8) Visualize the BAG

Come up with a BAG (Big Audacious Goal) you want to secure in 2025. Visualize your life with said BAG secured. Whether it’s financial freedom, a loving partner, a new creative endeavor, a move or more free time to pursue side quests, etc., your goal should align with your core values and beliefs. Then ask: who do I need to become to make this happen? Remember, we attract what we are and what we believe in, so focus on becoming that version of you now.

9) Practice gratitude daily

Shift your focus to the good in your life. Gratitude helps you see solutions and invites more blessings your way. Stop judging others and situations negatively. No more ruminating on problems and telling all your friends and family about them. Start appreciating what is working. Staying in a state of appreciation attracts even more into your life to be grateful for. Quantum physics backs this—what you focus on expands.

Pluto in Aquarius: The Cosmic Revolution We’ve Been Waiting For

Exciting things are happening in the cosmos right now. For some, it will look/feel like disruption, and for others - pure liberation and deep transformation. In any case, this Pluto transit is major and bringing with it positive change and growth for both the collective and individual, no matter your zodiac placement.

Pluto in Aquarius: A Cosmic Revolution for Humanity and the Zodiac

When Pluto moves, it’s like the universe handing out cosmic eviction notices to old systems, patterns, and ways of being that just don’t work anymore. Pluto’s recent move into Aquarius (November 19th) for the first time in over two centuries, marking a 20-year cycle of radical truth, transformation and innovation. Are you ready to embrace the weird, the revolutionary, and the downright liberating? Let’s unpack what this transit means for the collective, the zodiac signs, and your personal spiritual glow-up.

Pluto in Aquarius: A Quick Overview

Pluto, the planet of transformation, power, and rebirth, spends around 20 years in each zodiac sign. It’s not about surface-level changes; it’s about *deep* shifts that uproot what’s outdated to create space for our growth and ascension.

Aquarius, the forward-thinking air sign, rules innovation, rebellion, and collective progress. When Pluto and Aquarius team up, you get a potent mix of dismantling hierarchies, embracing individuality, and building communities that prioritize equality and freedom.

The last time Pluto was in Aquarius (1778–1798), the world witnessed revolutionary upheavals, the birth of democracy, and the early sparks of the Industrial Revolution. Fast forward to now, as we’re looking at another era of profound change—think of recent technological breakthroughs, social justice movements, and a reimagining of how we live, work, and connect.

What Happened the Last Time Pluto Was in Aquarius?

A few ways Pluto in Aquarius shook things up during its last visit:

- The Industrial Revolution began to transform economies with groundbreaking inventions like the steam engine.

The Future Is Yours to Create

Pluto in Aquarius is about transformation on every level—personal, societal, and spiritual. It can bring turbulence if you’re not in full-surrender mode. My best advice for now and the coming years is to embrace transformation and allow old patterns, beliefs, relationships, jobs etc. that are no longer serving your highest good to fall away naturally. Don’t cling to anything the universe is trying to remove, because even uncomfortable or downright painful, it can only be for your highest good. Trust that next two decades will bring challenges, breakthroughs, and opportunities to evolve into your highest self. So buckle up, let your freak flag fly, and get ready to change your way of existing in this reality. The future is weird, wild, and yours to create.

Nurturing the Soul In Colder Months: Grounding and Creativity

As the chill settles in and the days get shorter, there’s a kind of quiet magic in the air—a call to go inward, rest, and create. Winter might be a season for slowing down, but it’s also a sacred time to nurture our inner divine creativity. Whether you’re cozied up in a home base or on the move like myself, here are some grounding activities, crafts, and homemaking rituals that invite warmth and wonder into your world during these colder months.

Embrace a Slow Morning Ritual Just for You

In the quiet of this season, starting our mornings slow can set the tone for a grounded day. If you’re lucky enough to have a little nook by a window, take a few moments to soak in the morning light while sipping a warm tea. It doesn’t have to be a big production—you can read a few chapters in an interesting book, grab a cozy blanket, maybe light a candle, and just let yourself *be*. Adding a few drops of an essential oil like cedarwood or an herbal medicine tincture can create a grounding atmosphere. As you sip your tea, take in deep nose breaths and express gratitude for whatever comes to mind. The emphasis should be on the breath and the feeling of gratitude, no matter what its tied to. These small rituals are like planting seeds for a positive, creative day ahead.

Create a Seasonal Altar or Sacred Space

Whether you’re parked in a van or tucked away in a home, setting up a small altar or sacred space can be a beautiful way to connect with the energy of fall/winter. Gather natural elements like pinecones, acorns, dried herbs, or crystals. You can use this space for grounding meditation or even as a place to journal or pull oracle cards. Make it reflect the energy you want to invite in—peace, creativity, balance. Even if it’s just a small corner, creating a little sanctuary can be a powerful anchor in the colder months. I do this even as I’m traveling, whether in a bnb, family’s home, tent etc. and it helps tremendously in keeping me grounded in myself.

Nature Walks & Winter Foraging

Just because it’s chilly doesn’t mean nature s off limits. Bundle up and get outside for a mindful walk. Collect interesting twigs, rocks, or fallen leaves for crafts or decorating. Winter has its own textures and colors if we slow down to notice them. Bringing natural finds back with you can lead to inspiration for creative projects or become grounding items on your altar.

DIY Natural Candle Making

Candles are a must for winter coziness. Try your hand at making your own natural beeswax candles infused with natural scents like pine, cinnamon, or clove. You don’t need a fancy setup. Get a simple candle-making kit, and add essential oils and natural decorations like dried herbs or tiny pinecones. Not only is this a great grounding craft, but it also feels amazing to light something you’ve created with intention.

Crochet, Knitting, or Weaving

If there’s ever a time to get cozy with yarn, it’s this time of year. Crochet, knitting, sewing, and weaving are all wonderful ways to unwind, stay present, and tap into that meditative flow of creativity. Don’t worry if you’re new to it; there are tons of beginner tutorials online. Start with something simple. Fiber crafts are perfect for creating something useful and warm, and they’re travel-friendly if you’re on the road.

Creative Journaling or Art

Set up a little creative corner with some of your favorite art supplies, a journal, or a sketchbook. Let this space be free of expectation—just a place to play and let your imagination wander. You can doodle, paint, or write poetry, whatever feels right. Keeping a journal by your side allows you to process, dream, and keep track of creative ideas and divine insights.

Practice Intentional Movement

When it’s cold, we might feel like staying wrapped in blankets, but even gentle movement can help us connect with our body and ground us. Try some gentle yoga flows, intuitive stretching, or even just putting on some music and swaying to it. Slow movements help us stay connected to ourselves, and if you’re somewhere with limited space, these can be easily done in a small area.

Bake Something Simple & Nourishing

Even if you’re in an RV with a tiny oven, baking can be a meditative act. Try a simple loaf of bread, muffins, or a small batch of cookies. It’s not about making something fancy—just the act of creating and enjoying something warm can be grounding and heartwarming. If you’re in a kitchen with limited supplies, you’d be surprised at the grounding energy that even a small skillet cornbread or a few spiced apples can bring.

Seasonal Decor & Simple Homemaking Touches

Adding touches of nature to your space brings warmth and a bit of magic to even the simplest setup. Use foraged branches, dried herbs, or winter flowers. They can be placed in a vase or even tied with twine and hung over a rear view mirror. If you’re nomadic, this can bring a sense of “home” wherever you are. These seasonal touches remind us that even as we wander, we can create spaces that feel sacred and aligned with our spirit.

Soulful Sounds

Whether you consider yourself musically inclined or not, you can bring soulful sounds into your space - aligning our emotional body with the external. I travel with a guitar I can barely play (as of now anyway), but you may prefer a singing bowl or steel tongue drum, or perhaps a harmonica. Even a small wind chime hanging on the porch or a soothing drum beat can help us stay in tune with our internal rhythm. Don’t be afraid of it not being good, just play. Make the sounds intuitively and see how you feel.

Embrace Reflection & Dreaming

Winter is also a powerful time for dreaming and reflection. Use this quiet period to journal on your intentions, dreams, inspired thoughts, and creative ideas. Let your imagination run wild with what you want to create, do, or explore. It’s a season for planting the seeds of what’s to come, so honor it by dreaming big.

There’s something deeply fulfilling about intentionally creating warmth and beauty, especially during the quiet of colder months. These grounding activities are a way to honor the season, our creative spark, and the beauty in slowing down. Take what resonates, let yourself be inspired, and trust that every small act of creativity is a step toward deeper connection with yourself.

Stay cozy, stay grounded, and let’s welcome the magic of this season together.

Wishing you love, light, wisdom and safe passage through the shadow season.

Embracing the Full Moon in Aries: A Journey of Surrender and Transformation

Embracing the Full Moon in Aries: A Journey of Surrender and Transformation

As the full moon rises on October 17, the vibrant energy of Aries ignites a powerful opportunity for transformation. This lunar phase is not just about illumination; it’s about shedding the old and embracing the new, pushing us toward our highest selves. It’s a time to reflect, surrender, and harness the intense energy of this fiery moon.

Surrendering to the Moon’s Energy

The full moon is a beacon of energy, illuminating all that has been hidden in the shadows. Aries, ruled by Mars, brings a rush of vitality and courage. It encourages us to confront our fears, let go of what no longer serves us, and embrace our authentic selves.

Surrendering means recognizing the parts of ourselves that we’ve outgrown—habits, beliefs, relationships, and fears. Take a moment to sit quietly under the moonlight. Breathe deeply and reflect on the aspects of your life that feel heavy or stagnant. What do you want to release? Allow the moon’s light to shine on those areas, illuminating what needs to be let go. Write it down, say it out loud, or simply envision it dissipating into the night sky.

Burying Your Past Self

Once you’ve identified what no longer serves you, it’s time to bury your past self. This isn’t just a symbolic gesture; it’s an act of empowerment. You can create a ritual to honor this transition. Consider writing a letter to your old self, expressing gratitude for the lessons learned but stating clearly that you’re ready to move forward.

Find a safe place to bury the letter or burn it (I’m fiery and a big fan of burning, but those with a lot of earth in their chart may prefer during), releasing the energy back to the universe to transmute. As you do this, visualize your old self fading away, creating space for the new you to emerge. Aries is a sign of action, so take this opportunity to act decisively. The full moon invites you to step into your power, igniting the fire within you to pursue your passions and dreams.

Remember that the universe already knows the desires of your heart, and focus with intent on what you are releasing from your life now..for good. It may be painful or unsettling at first, but deep down you know this is the shift to which you’re being called to surrender.

Stepping into Your Highest Self

With your past behind you, focus on who you want to become. What does your highest self look like? What dreams do you want to pursue? Aries encourages us to be bold, to take risks, and to chase our desires with fervor. Embrace this energy and let it fuel your aspirations.

In Conclusion

As you embrace the transformative energy of this full moon in Aries, remember that surrender is a powerful act of love for yourself. By letting go of your past self, you’re making room for growth, healing, and the manifestation of your highest self.

Under the glow of this bright full moon, trust in the journey ahead. Embrace your courage, honor your authenticity, and step boldly into the new chapter waiting for you. Let this full moon be a turning point—a reminder that you are capable of profound transformation when you align with the rhythms of nature and your own inner power.

Embrace the magic of the moment. Surrender, transform, and rise. 🌕✨

Comprehensive Audible List: My Personal Self-Empowerment Library

In 2015 shortly after having my second child, I was at a cross-roads in my life. A lot of things seemed to be not working and I was ready to transcend my unfulfilling reality. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired, unhappy in my work and relationships, and feeling like I was being called to be a completely different version of myself as a woman, mother, and divine being.

As a pastor's kid and grandkid, this part of my journey led me back to church and deeper into biblical texts and Christian-based books. The more I read and listened to books about Jesus and spiritual freedom, the more I could see that something else was happening.. for the first time in my life I allowed myself to question my beliefs without shame or guilt. I was losing my religion, finding my truest self, and embracing deeper, bigger truths about my personal reality and everything/everyone around me.

This path led me to knowledge about fasting (which I will talk about in another post), meditating, giving up old ways of thinking, doing, and being. I embraced my unbecomin, my deprogramming, and the possibility that all I had learned in church/scripture growing up was merely part of a much bigger truth.

I don't remember exactly how I found Audible. Aside from indulging in several WWII books as a child, I was never really a big reader. Few topics were able to keep my attention, as I found myself getting bored or rereading the same lines over and over trying to process and remember. Audiobooks unlocked a whole new world for me. I started listening to them at work and in the car, and found myself more focused on tasks, less bored with my work, and growing into a more empowered version of myself all simultaneously.

Very early in my Audible journey, a good friend of mine and someone I respect greatly suggested the book The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo. If you've read The Alchemist, you know that although it is fiction, it contains a message of truth that calls for your spirit to realize itself. That is exactly what started to happen for me. After digesting this title, it was like I jumped into a rabbit hole of learning, healing, journeying through my spirit, finding love in the places that previously hurt, getting my sh*t together and embracing the notion that my life was about to radically change.

This was the beginning of a painful season of falling apart so I could ultimately become something greater. I want to share with you many of the titles I've listened to from 2016 to now, as they have impacted me in ways I may never have words to accurately describe. These books (in addition to those I physically read) carried me through myself, through my dark nights of the soul, through my triumphs over sadness and despair, and lifted my soul as no one or no thing ever had.

My personal Audible list contains a range of genres, not just self-help or books on spirituality. Some are novels, some financial how-to's, history, political memoirs, religious texts, regenerative agriculture, psychology, psychedelics etc. I've left out several business and niche-specific titles, though I may put together a separate list for those later. Together, they form a library of thought that comes together beautifully to assist in my unlearning and relearning. It's a fairly long list (90 titles currently), so I hope you find some wisdom here. As with anything I share, please take what resonates and leave what doesn't.

If you have already read or listened to any of these books, or if you do so after reading this, and were/are as deeply impacted as I, I'd love to hear from you in the comments. I'll update it semi-frequently to keep the list current.

Love, light, and truth to you all <3, Ladye
