9 Ways to Get a Jumpstart & Make 2025 Transformational

Some of us like to make vision boards, others write a list of “New Year’s Resolutions”. Regardless of your approach, this is a great time of year to sit down and reflect, to celebrate this year’s wins and to get crystal clear on changes you may want to make in the coming year. As I was reflecting myself, I jotted down 9 ways to get started now rather than waiting until January 1st to implement changes.

1) Curate your social media

Unfollow any pages that distract you, make you feel less than, or just aren’t in alignment with the life you desire. This includes celebs, gossip pages, and people from your hometown you don’t vibe with anymore. Instead, follow self-empowerment pages, wellness accounts, special interests, and growth-focused content. Engage with what inspires you so you see more of it.

2) Reprogram your algorithms

Start searching for positive content on social platforms and Google. Look up topics like self-care practices, morning and nighttime routines, holistic health tips, meditations, mindset shifts, fasting, and anything else that supports your growth. Let the ether know you’re making a shift. Remember, algorithms reflect what you think about, search for, and engage with—so make it good stuff.

3) Block the negativity

From weird energy to plain old drama and negativity - If someone or something consistently makes you feel bad or simply doesn’t sit well with you, unfollow or block them, or set firm boundaries. Period. Boundaries are key to a better life, and this includes digital spaces. If you feel guilty, remember: it’s not about being “nice”—it’s about protecting your peace. Choose YOU.

4) Clean House

Donate or toss items that no longer bring you joy. Deep clean. Take it on one room at a time. Scrub the tub, dust hard to reach places, wipe down door frames and window seals, clean out the fridge, toss expired pantry goods, organize closets, add decor and items that make you feel good, get some houseplants. To be frugal, you can ask friends for plant cuttings to propagate, and thrift used decor items that speak to you (be sure to cleanse before adding to your space). Smudge your home counter-clockwise with sage and clockwise palo santo, light an incense, and rearrange to get stagnant energy moving.

5) Assess Your Habits

Which of your habits are no longer serving your highest good? Cut ‘em out. Decide which positive habits you’d like to implement, and start now.. no need to wait for January. Adopt supportive habits like grounding outside, exercising, journaling, meditating, eating nourishing foods, stretching, and regularly reaching out to connect with loved ones. Focus on mastering one new habit at a time. They’re the foundation for creating the life you want. They’re the structure that supports your highest good even when you “don’t feel like it.” Discipline + consistency = transformation.

6) Create a feel-good playlist

Make a go-to soundtrack filled with uplifting songs or calming frequencies to listen to daily or when you need a little pick-me-up. Skip anything low-frequency (sorry, gotta let the sad R&B songs, shoot-up-the-opps rage rap and tear-in-my-beer country music go while you’re trying to elevate). Music has power—choose sounds that really lift your spirit and put you in a good mood.

7) Write affirmations

Craft 5-10 personal affirmations like “I am worthy of love and abundance” or powerful ASKfirmations like “Why am I so healthy?” “Why am I so peaceful?” and “How do joy and success always find me?” You get the gist. Now record yourself saying them. Play this anytime you need to remember who you are. Bonus points for listening to them daily just before bed and right after you wake up while your brain is still in theta.

8) Visualize the BAG

Come up with a BAG (Big Audacious Goal) you want to secure in 2025. Visualize your life with said BAG secured. Whether it’s financial freedom, a loving partner, a new creative endeavor, a move or more free time to pursue side quests, etc., your goal should align with your core values and beliefs. Then ask: who do I need to become to make this happen? Remember, we attract what we are and what we believe in, so focus on becoming that version of you now.

9) Practice gratitude daily

Shift your focus to the good in your life. Gratitude helps you see solutions and invites more blessings your way. Stop judging others and situations negatively. No more ruminating on problems and telling all your friends and family about them. Start appreciating what is working. Staying in a state of appreciation attracts even more into your life to be grateful for. Quantum physics backs this—what you focus on expands.

Embracing the Full Moon in Aries: A Journey of Surrender and Transformation

Embracing the Full Moon in Aries: A Journey of Surrender and Transformation

As the full moon rises on October 17, the vibrant energy of Aries ignites a powerful opportunity for transformation. This lunar phase is not just about illumination; it’s about shedding the old and embracing the new, pushing us toward our highest selves. It’s a time to reflect, surrender, and harness the intense energy of this fiery moon.

Surrendering to the Moon’s Energy

The full moon is a beacon of energy, illuminating all that has been hidden in the shadows. Aries, ruled by Mars, brings a rush of vitality and courage. It encourages us to confront our fears, let go of what no longer serves us, and embrace our authentic selves.

Surrendering means recognizing the parts of ourselves that we’ve outgrown—habits, beliefs, relationships, and fears. Take a moment to sit quietly under the moonlight. Breathe deeply and reflect on the aspects of your life that feel heavy or stagnant. What do you want to release? Allow the moon’s light to shine on those areas, illuminating what needs to be let go. Write it down, say it out loud, or simply envision it dissipating into the night sky.

Burying Your Past Self

Once you’ve identified what no longer serves you, it’s time to bury your past self. This isn’t just a symbolic gesture; it’s an act of empowerment. You can create a ritual to honor this transition. Consider writing a letter to your old self, expressing gratitude for the lessons learned but stating clearly that you’re ready to move forward.

Find a safe place to bury the letter or burn it (I’m fiery and a big fan of burning, but those with a lot of earth in their chart may prefer during), releasing the energy back to the universe to transmute. As you do this, visualize your old self fading away, creating space for the new you to emerge. Aries is a sign of action, so take this opportunity to act decisively. The full moon invites you to step into your power, igniting the fire within you to pursue your passions and dreams.

Remember that the universe already knows the desires of your heart, and focus with intent on what you are releasing from your life now..for good. It may be painful or unsettling at first, but deep down you know this is the shift to which you’re being called to surrender.

Stepping into Your Highest Self

With your past behind you, focus on who you want to become. What does your highest self look like? What dreams do you want to pursue? Aries encourages us to be bold, to take risks, and to chase our desires with fervor. Embrace this energy and let it fuel your aspirations.

In Conclusion

As you embrace the transformative energy of this full moon in Aries, remember that surrender is a powerful act of love for yourself. By letting go of your past self, you’re making room for growth, healing, and the manifestation of your highest self.

Under the glow of this bright full moon, trust in the journey ahead. Embrace your courage, honor your authenticity, and step boldly into the new chapter waiting for you. Let this full moon be a turning point—a reminder that you are capable of profound transformation when you align with the rhythms of nature and your own inner power.

Embrace the magic of the moment. Surrender, transform, and rise. 🌕✨

Spiritual Meaning of Fall Equinox and How to Align with the Changing of Seasons

The Spiritual Meaning of the Fall Equinox and How to Align with the Change of Seasons

The fall equinox, often referred to as the autumnal equinox or fall solstice, is a powerful moment in the year when the earth finds balance—equal light and equal darkness as day and night stand in perfect equilibrium. This event, occurring around September 21-23 each year, is more than just an astronomical milestone. For centuries, spiritual traditions have recognized the fall equinox as a moment to pause, reflect, and transition. It marks the shift from the active, outward energy of summer into the more reflective, contemplative energy of autumn. As we honor this celestial moment, we also align with nature's rhythm and invite spiritual harmony into our lives.

Understanding the Fall Equinox: A Moment of Balance

From a cosmic perspective, the equinox is one of two points in the year when the sun is exactly above the equator, creating a balance between day and night. For those in the Northern Hemisphere, the fall equinox signals the official start of autumn, while in the Southern Hemisphere, it marks the beginning of spring.

The fall equinox is a powerful symbol of duality and balance. The equal distribution of light and dark speaks to the broader cycles of life: growth and rest, expansion and contraction, activity and stillness. Spiritually, it reminds us of the importance of balance in our own lives. As we transition from the fiery energy of summer—often filled with action, movement, and productivity—we are invited to slow down and turn inward, just as nature prepares for winter.

This moment invites us to reflect on our personal harvest—what we have cultivated, created, and achieved over the past year—and to express gratitude for the abundance in our lives. At the same time, the equinox nudges us to release what no longer serves us, just as trees release their leaves to prepare for a quieter season of rest.

Spiritual Traditions and Celebrations

Many cultures and spiritual traditions honor the fall equinox with rituals, festivals, and ceremonies, recognizing it as a time of harvest, balance, and reflection.

In Pagan and Wiccan traditions, the fall equinox is celebrated as Mabon, the second of three harvest festivals. Mabon is a time to give thanks for the bounty of the earth, to honor the changing of the seasons, and to reflect on the balance between light and dark, life and death. It’s a moment to express gratitude for the abundance of the harvest and to prepare for the introspective winter months ahead.

In ancient Greek mythology, the equinox is linked to the story of Persephone, who descends to the underworld each fall to be with Hades, signaling the beginning of the dormant, darker half of the year. Her return to the earth in the spring represents the reawakening of life and light. This myth embodies the cycle of death and rebirth that the equinox represents.

For Native American tribes, the equinox was often a time to honor the connection between people and the earth. Rituals focused on giving thanks for the harvest and acknowledging the earth’s natural cycles. The autumnal equinox was also seen as a time for personal reflection and spiritual preparation for the winter months ahead.

No matter the tradition, the equinox is consistently seen as a sacred pause—a moment to honor both the light and the dark, both what we have gained and what we must release.

The Symbolism of the Harvest

At its core, the fall equinox is about the harvest—both literally and metaphorically. It’s a time to gather the fruits of our labor, to celebrate abundance, and to reflect on what we have nurtured and brought to fruition. But it’s also a time to recognize that the cycle of life includes both gain and loss, both growth and decay. Just as farmers harvest their crops, we too are invited to reflect on our personal harvests. What have we been working toward this year? What goals, dreams, and intentions have come to fruition?

This reflection can also involve acknowledging where we may have fallen short, where our efforts didn’t yield the results we hoped for. Rather than seeing these as failures, the equinox invites us to view them as part of the natural cycle of growth. Not everything is meant to blossom in the same season. Some seeds take longer to sprout, and others may need more care before they can bear fruit.

Just as important as the harvest itself is the act of letting go. The fall equinox is a time to release what no longer serves us, whether that’s outdated beliefs, habits, or attachments. Just as the trees shed their leaves, we are encouraged to let go of anything that is weighing us down or preventing us from moving forward. This process of release creates space for new growth in the future, allowing us to enter the coming months with clarity and purpose.

How to Align with the Change of Seasons

As the fall equinox approaches, we have the opportunity to consciously align ourselves with the changing seasons and tap into the spiritual energy of this transition. Here are a few ways to cultivate this alignment:

1. Embrace Reflection and Gratitude

One of the most powerful ways to honor the fall equinox is through reflection and gratitude. Take time to reflect on your personal harvest—what you’ve accomplished, what you’ve learned, and how you’ve grown over the past months. Acknowledge both the successes and the challenges, as both are essential parts of the journey.

Consider keeping a gratitude journal during this time, writing down the things you are thankful for each day. Gratitude is a potent way to shift your mindset toward abundance, even in moments of difficulty. It helps you recognize the blessings in your life and invites more positive energy into your experience.

2. Create Space for Letting Go

Just as trees shed their leaves in preparation for winter, the fall equinox is a perfect time for releasing what no longer serves you. This might include physical clutter, emotional baggage, or limiting beliefs that are holding you back.

Consider writing down the things you wish to release on a piece of paper, then burning or burying it as a symbolic act of letting go. This ritual helps create energetic space for new opportunities, ideas, and experiences to flow into your life.

3. Spend Time in Nature

One of the simplest yet most profound ways to connect with the energy of the fall equinox is to spend time in nature. As the world around you transitions from the lushness of summer to the cooler, crisper days of autumn, you can observe the natural cycles of change firsthand.

Take a mindful walk in the woods, visit a local park, or sit quietly in your garden. Pay attention to the subtle shifts—the changing colors of the leaves, the cooler air, the quieter sounds of nature. Nature’s rhythms can remind us to slow down, tune in, and honor the cycles within ourselves.

4. Balance Your Energy

The equinox is a time of balance, so it’s important to focus on balancing your own energy during this time. This could involve practices like yoga, meditation, or breathwork—activities that help you find stillness and equilibrium.

You might also consider balancing your work and rest cycles. As the days grow shorter, it’s natural to feel the pull to slow down and conserve your energy. Honor this by giving yourself permission to rest, recharge, and restore.

5. Set Intentions for the Season Ahead

While the fall equinox is a time for reflection, it’s also an ideal moment to set intentions for the season ahead. As we transition into the quieter, more introspective months of autumn and winter, think about how you want to use this time. What do you want to focus on? What inner work do you want to do? What goals do you want to plant, like seeds, that will grow in the coming year?

Setting intentions during the fall equinox helps you align with the natural cycles of the earth, harnessing the power of the season to support your personal growth.

Embracing the Wisdom of the Fall Equinox

The fall equinox is a sacred time of balance, reflection, and transformation. It offers a chance to honor the cycles of nature and align with the deeper rhythms of life. By embracing the symbolism of the harvest, practicing gratitude, letting go, and setting intentions, we can use this time to find greater spiritual harmony and prepare ourselves for the quieter, more introspective months ahead. Just as the earth transitions into autumn, we too are invited to honor our personal cycles of growth and change, finding peace in the balance of light and dark, gain and release.

September New Moon in Virgo

As summer sunlight begins to fade and the crisp fall air ushers in harvest season, we’re grounded in Virgo’s natural discernment and desire for improvement. The fruits of our labor are brought to the forefront, inviting us to evaluate what has flourished in our life and what may need readjusting. We’re encouraged to sift through ourselves, keeping what nourishes our spirit and releasing what no longer serves or highest good. The September New Moon in Virgo is a time to let go of self-doubt, self-criticism, and imposter syndrome as we step into our divine potential.

This is the season where our focus naturally shifts to reflection and making adjustments that will support our alignment through the colder, more introspective months. Now is the time to wrap up any undone projects or spiritual assignments we may have been putting off and ask ourselves, “How can I simplify my life and reduce any subtle chaos that overwhelms my mind or disturbs my nervous system?” It’s time to slow down, listen to the voice of our inner being, and acknowledge our limits. Have you been holding healthy boundaries, or are you pouring energy into something that no longer serves you? The more clarity and balance we find internally now, the more rest and graceful surrender we align with through Winter.

Whether you’re a ritual-ly person or just like to write down your intentions, I’m encouraging you to do your thing with clarity tonight. Then, dig deep this week, showing yourself and the universe why you want what you say you want, living that reality through your thoughts and actions.

Step 1) Clear OUT any old unhelpful patterns and thought processes,

Step 2) Bring IN habits and routines aligned with our best, most authentic selves.

My advice-
Take it slower this afternoon, calm your mind, and get clear on what it is that your soul desires most in this season and out of life in general. Don’t let past negative outcomes or experiences affect your vision. Hold your most feel-good vision for your life. As the sun sets and darkness sets in, get real with yourself about any limiting sh*t you might still be carrying around that blocks you from the reality you envision. As you become aware of the blocks through introspection and meditation, let them go with love and grace.

Everything you desire most is already here, happening right now. All it takes to realize it - to see it, touch it, taste it, smell it, etc. is a quantum shift (look into quantum mechanics and quantum leaping if you are skeptical).

What this means, as corny or “new age” as it may sound, is that you must align yourself in every way with the reality you desire. Universal laws and quantum science give us the secret code. They tell us that we have to deeply know that we are the creators of our own life simulation. We must believe it’s possible and that we are worthy of our desires. We must feel deep down that we are already living the desired reality. We must release any thought, subconscious belief or negative emotion that doesn’t align with the reality we want most for ourselves. Maybe most importantly, we have to feel genuine appreciation for all that we have in the now - today..where we sit - and make space with gratitude for all the blessings and healing we know are coming into our realities in the perceived future.

“Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”
— Carl Jung

Although we do have all the answers already, the limitations of our human avatars and the stresses of modern day life tend to get in the way of us remembering those answers often. So, if you’re ever unsure of where to start with yourself, or how to get back on the right track.. examining and realigning your habits is usually the best place to focus. What do you habitually think, eat, say, do, etc.? Tweak your habits to support the highest version of yourself. If you do, and you stay consistent, you will see magical results in the Spring/Summer.

Comprehensive Audible List: My Personal Self-Empowerment Library

In 2015 shortly after having my second child, I was at a cross-roads in my life. A lot of things seemed to be not working and I was ready to transcend my unfulfilling reality. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired, unhappy in my work and relationships, and feeling like I was being called to be a completely different version of myself as a woman, mother, and divine being.

As a pastor's kid and grandkid, this part of my journey led me back to church and deeper into biblical texts and Christian-based books. The more I read and listened to books about Jesus and spiritual freedom, the more I could see that something else was happening.. for the first time in my life I allowed myself to question my beliefs without shame or guilt. I was losing my religion, finding my truest self, and embracing deeper, bigger truths about my personal reality and everything/everyone around me.

This path led me to knowledge about fasting (which I will talk about in another post), meditating, giving up old ways of thinking, doing, and being. I embraced my unbecomin, my deprogramming, and the possibility that all I had learned in church/scripture growing up was merely part of a much bigger truth.

I don't remember exactly how I found Audible. Aside from indulging in several WWII books as a child, I was never really a big reader. Few topics were able to keep my attention, as I found myself getting bored or rereading the same lines over and over trying to process and remember. Audiobooks unlocked a whole new world for me. I started listening to them at work and in the car, and found myself more focused on tasks, less bored with my work, and growing into a more empowered version of myself all simultaneously.

Very early in my Audible journey, a good friend of mine and someone I respect greatly suggested the book The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo. If you've read The Alchemist, you know that although it is fiction, it contains a message of truth that calls for your spirit to realize itself. That is exactly what started to happen for me. After digesting this title, it was like I jumped into a rabbit hole of learning, healing, journeying through my spirit, finding love in the places that previously hurt, getting my sh*t together and embracing the notion that my life was about to radically change.

This was the beginning of a painful season of falling apart so I could ultimately become something greater. I want to share with you many of the titles I've listened to from 2016 to now, as they have impacted me in ways I may never have words to accurately describe. These books (in addition to those I physically read) carried me through myself, through my dark nights of the soul, through my triumphs over sadness and despair, and lifted my soul as no one or no thing ever had.

My personal Audible list contains a range of genres, not just self-help or books on spirituality. Some are novels, some financial how-to's, history, political memoirs, religious texts, regenerative agriculture, psychology, psychedelics etc. I've left out several business and niche-specific titles, though I may put together a separate list for those later. Together, they form a library of thought that comes together beautifully to assist in my unlearning and relearning. It's a fairly long list (90 titles currently), so I hope you find some wisdom here. As with anything I share, please take what resonates and leave what doesn't.

If you have already read or listened to any of these books, or if you do so after reading this, and were/are as deeply impacted as I, I'd love to hear from you in the comments. I'll update it semi-frequently to keep the list current.

Love, light, and truth to you all <3, Ladye
